50% of translations lost

Hello,

With the latest update, Frisian has lost about 50% of it translations.
While I look at others they only lost about 10%.

I find it a big difference.
Is there something that can be done about it?
This will set me almost a year back in translation time.

Greetings

Could you be more specific, how do you know 50% of your translation is
lost and 10% for others? Translation is not lost, there are backups, so
what do you mean by 'lost'? Which version is concerned compared to which
one?
Cheers
Sophie

Hello Sophie,

The difference between LibreOffice 5.4 – UI
<https://translations.documentfoundation.org/fy/libo54_ui/> and LibreOffice
master – UI <https://translations.documentfoundation.org/fy/libo_ui/> is
about 50 %.
Maybe 'lost' isn't the right word for it, but when i see that dutch whent
from 100% to 92% that it's a big difference with the Frisian Language.

Hello,.

It's been awhile.
The problem still exists

Would it be possible to restore a backup over it so that the translation is
wome what back up to normal level?

Hello again,

Started translating again, cause I don't see any movement for repair.
I really hope that this will not happen the next time.
Loosing 50% of the translations is hard to get by.

Translation is not lost, Christian in copy of this mail is doing backup, so
you should not have to translate again if something went wrong.

Hello,

Is there any progress, in recovering of the translation.

It's been two weeks ago.
It would be nice if it's been restored before christmass.

I just gritted my teeth and started going through them while watching TV. I suspect nobody is going to do much about this batch but I *seriously* hope someone is taking the proposal further to tag source changes in future so locales can opt out of changes like Open file > Open File etc (if there's a bug, I'd like to subscribe?). Because I am really unhappy with LO right now about this and if I have to do this a 3rd (or 4th?) time, I'm seriously going to question my future participation.

Hi Berend,
Christian is still working on it. He will let you know when he has
finished. Sorry for the delay but it seems it takes time to right the
scripts.

Hi Sophie,

thanks for the efforts. We hope it will be before 18th Dec (UI string freeze).

Hi Sophie,

thanks for the efforts. We hope it will be before 18th Dec (UI string
freeze).

Cloph has discovered a bug in his script, that's why there is still some
delays, but he is working on it and hope to have finished by this week.

Hi Berend,

Hello,

Is there any progress, in recovering of the translation.

It's been two weeks ago.

Problem of missing translations should be solved. Could you have a check
and point us to remaining issues if any.
What is still missing is the removing of fuzzy.
Thanks Cloph for your work on this.

Cheers
Sophie

Hello Sophie,

I don't see any difference,
The only thing i see is that there is now 1 suggestion.

Greeting

Berend

Thanks, this looks promissing,
I could work with this.

Hi,

when will you finally correct the translations on translations.documentfoundation.org? Upper Sorbian (hsb) LO was fully translated and now 25,718 words are marked as untranslated or fuzzy. I dislike translating strings repeatedly though they weren't changed.

I didn't translate much into Lower Sorbian (dsb) but I think there is still the same issue.

Please correct the displayed untranslated strings. Unfortunately, this issue didin't occur the first time and it must not be that the correction take many weeks.

Thanks.

To give you an update: Cloph is still working on it, some strings have
already been removed from their fuzzy state, you should see more
progress in the next days, he is currently running scripts and the last
part will be done manually (which should take more time).

Relying only on Cloph when he has already a lot to do on the releases
doesn't help, so to all of you, if you know some people able to help
here, you are more than welcome to send them to me. Thanks for your
patience and your understanding.

Hi,

Thanks for the enormous Job.
For Frisian I can take it from here.
Will do the last ones manuel.

I am doing some checkups anyway.
