Adapting row height is slow

Thank you.  I'll check this out when I get home.

As the sheet opens on the status bar at bottom of the Calc UI, a "Loading document" and progress bar appears, followed by the "Adapting row height" and its progress bar--when applicable to the spreadsheet.
