B-Translator

Hi,

Recently I have a made a new release of B-Translator,
which is based on Docker and is supposed to be more
easy to install: http://info.btranslator.org/install.html

However, I also have 200GB disk space on cloud,
so I can also offer free installation and hosting for
a few other languages (besides Albanian and French),
at least just for testing. It is going to be a subdomain
of btranslator.org, like this: https://fr.btranslator.org/
with Drupal admin access and with shell access.

Anybody would like to give it a try? You need some
basic Drupal admin skills (to customize the interface)
and maybe basic shell skills.

Hi,

I have a list of all languages like this:
https://github.com/B-Translator/btr_server/blob/master/modules/custom/btrCore/lib/fn/languages/all_langs.php

For each language I need the code, char encoding, nr of plurals,
and whether it is left-to-right or right-to-left. Could you help me
with the details of your languages?

Thanks,
Dashamir

I can't login

Warning: implode(): Invalid arguments passed in
hybridauth_additional_info_form_submit() (line 557 of
/var/www/btr/profiles/btr_server/modules/contrib/hybridauth/hybridauth.pages.inc).

Also, a very few languages available, there isn't galician for a try

Hi Dashamir,

Isn't most of this data on CLDR? Plurals are here:
http://www.unicode.org/cldr/charts/latest/supplemental/language_plural_rules.html

or if you want the Mozilla specific stuff:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Localization/Localization_and_Plurals

The CLDR datasets hold other info like LTR etc

Thanks for the link Michael, I didn't know about this list.
However I don't find there all the information that I need
(for example no character encoding, no LTR/RTL, the number
of plurals is not so clear). Maybe these can be found on some
other lists out there, but it is easier to ask.

Hello.

I found this link for the language encodings:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Encodings_for_localization_files
This is for RTL languages in Qt: https://qt.gitorious.org/qt/fabos-clone/source/1abf2d6dfafc71f73746b7e69e11e0c8152edb4a:src/corelib/tools/qlocale.cpp#L3485
And this is in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-to-left
BTW, Why don't you use UTF-8 for all languages?

Thank you for the links Safa.
(The first one does not seem very useful though.)

BTW, Why don't you use UTF-8 for all languages?

This is an interesting question, I never though about it.
I should try it, maybe it will work.

This is too technical to me, but here is a copy of the heading of a Norwegian nynorsk .po file downloaded from Pootle:

"Last-Translator: Kolbjørn <kolbjoern@stuestoel.no>\n"
"Language-Team: NORWEGIAN nynorsk <i18n-nn@lister.ping.uio.no\n"
"Language: nn\n"
"MIME-Version: 1.0\n"
"Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n"
"Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit\n"
"Plural-Forms: nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1);\n"
"X-Generator: LibreOffice\n"
"X-Accelerator-Marker: ~\n"
"X-POOTLE-MTIME: 1400704224.000000\n"

Direction: left to right.
Is this what you are asking for?
