Border not visible

Hi all,

I have asked this before but again I would like to address this problem.

http://www.4shared.com/file/ZNEMSh2R/border.html

Above link contains the sample Writer file to see if the border of the frame will be visibly shown or not.
Created with LibreOffice 3.4.4. on Windows XP.
For some reason if I open this very same file in OpenOffice, the border of the frame is shown visibly.

What could be the problem here???

Your file is not reachable unless accepting too many cookies. So I can't
test it.
You can upload files if you use Nabble to answer.

Try: menu View -> Text boundaries

Best regards.

Can you get it from above?

Border does not show in:
LibreOffice 3.4.4
OOO340m1 (Build:402) (linux)

It shows just fine in:
LibreOffice 3.3.4
OOO330m19 (Build:401)
tag libreoffice-3.3.4.1 (linux)

Looks like yet another regression with 3.4.4. Please file a bug report
(include your test file). Post back with a link to the bug report & I'll
be happy to add my comments regarding the test.

This guide might help

I think the main useful bit in this case is the link to bugzilla.

Would like to know too
I can create frames in 3.4.4 and 3.4.5rc1 with borders and open again in the one or the other version - no problem here.

So idea idea what makes your file special, or what steps you did precisely?

Thanks a lot,

I filed bug report, /Bug 44010 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44010>/ now.

I tested little bit more. This problem appears when the test direction of the page is set vertically. If the text flow is normal horizontal, the border of the frame becomes visible.

Tried with LO 3.5.0 Beta2

Unfortunately it is not fixed with 3.5.

I will have to stick with 3.3 for quite while I guess.

Ah, thanks.
We are still in beta2/3, so maybe time to fix this for the 3.5.0

Great.

I really hope LO will get better and better.
I keep promoting LO in the mean time.
