Cal and mouse scrolling

I use a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 which seems to work fine on everything but calc. When scrolling through a sheet it may completely ignore input from the wheel or it may jump several lines. Does anybody know anything about this?

Are you using it on linux?

There is a known issue with some Microsoft Mice and Firefox that exhibits itself as high speed scrolling when using the wheel.

The answer for that is unplug and re-plug usb dongle and then it behaves normally.
