Calc Pivot Table layout

Is there away to get data items to appear side by side instead of "stacked"
in a list? In the attached spreadsheet (which I found on the web and
modified) I want "Sum - Sales" and "Sum - Units" to appear side by side
under each category. Other than merging cells (labor intensive, doesn't
look like I want) are there any options?
