Can't connect to outgoing mail server.

Hi everyone, I have this issue on Max OS X 10.4

When I start the Mail Merge Wizzard i follow all the steps, and I can only get to step 3. I think "Maybe the settings" and check for the mail server, and efectivelly there is none, but when I tryed to put my own server, I get allways the same legend, about "server can't be found"

Any ideas?

Have you set up your e-mail configuration properly within LibO and
tested it ? Look it up in LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice Writer

E-mail mailing. If the test fails here, then the mailmerge wizard

won't work at all.

If you have set this up correctly, then you should at least get to step
6 or 7. However, after that, I find that mailmerge by e-mail causes LibO
on MacOSX 10.6.6 to hang and I have to force kill it.

I can confirm that this failure exists.

Good luck trying to unsubscribe. I have been trying to for two weeks now, unsuccessfully. I just send anything with Libre Office into the junk folder!!!!!!

A thought suddenly strikes me in connection with this problem. The person in question uses gmail, and gmail is renowned for not sending copies of your own mails to mail lists. I wonder if the confirmation mails are not being sent to the users?

Probably a silly thought, but I'll voice it anyway.

Two totally different messages... the conf message may go into the Spam
folder, but it is a new message...

If you have been trying 'for quite a while'... I don't get why the spam
quarantine wasn't the *first* place you looked when you didn't receive
the *first* confirmation email?
