I am a Portuguese user of Libreoffice an I would like to contribute in
localization for Portuguese.

I´ve already am registered in Pootle and my user name is smarquespt.

If someone could give admin access for committing files it would be nice.

I just granted the admin rights to your account.

There is no language team for Portugese mentioned at
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Language_Teams

can you please update the page and see who is going to join the team?
(Several other users already registered for pt in pootle - but afair,
none ever asked here for permissons).

I will register in wiki and update language teams page.

In the meanwhile, is it possible to add extensions project (templates) into
Portuguese?
