Does word "content" have plural?
In croatian it's same for singular and plural, and when I think about it in english, I would say "content" covers one and many also without need for "contents".

I saw this few times already in LO and it feels strange.

Both are ok. Oddly enough, the plural usage seems to be older, which surprises me

Content can be singular or plural. Weirdly it is also ok to have an s on
the end to make it "contents" as the plural.

I think it is marginally more comfortable with the s but that might depend
on context. Both are acceptable and both ways are in common usage.

In English, yes.

There is the content of a book, but the contents of a drawer.

"The contents of a book" is _usually_ incorrect.
"The contents of the book" is correct as often as it is incorrect.

OTOH, "the book's contents" is _usually_ correct.

"Content of a drawer" is always incorrect.
"Contents of the drawer is always correct"

Confused?
Chalk it up to the reason why English is the worst language in the world
to learn. The rules don't make sense, especially when they are honoured
by the breach thereof.
