customize keyboard (font color)

Good evening
I working with Calc, checking translations made by someone else.
I would like to mark certain words within the text in red or any color.
For Writer I used:
Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard -> Format -> "Font color fill" and
assigned a shortcut key.

In Calc however, there is no "Font color fill"and ANY shortcut I assign
to "Font color"
brings up the "Cell Format" dialog box.

Is it not possible to assign a shortcut key that will change the font
color of the particular word/text
I am working on in a particular cell?
If there is, how do I achieve that?

Thank you.
Thomas

Doesn't sound much like a task for a spreadsheet application to me,

Yes. I am aware of that AND totally agree with you. However, translation agencies keep sending me Excel files for translation or
editing all the time. I have been trying to convince them for 20 years, that Excel, or Calc, is for CALCULATION.
So far with no success at all. That is why I have to cope with these "inappropriate" tasks/tools.

I don't know, but I am pretty sure you can make a macro that does that for you.

A macro. OK, I will try that.
