Document is missing in Windows but not Linux

I have a student document that is 5 pages long
which is a essay on Python. They are required to
do the code in Courier font. If the students creates
the document on a Linux machine it looks OK but
if you then open it on a Windows machines the page 
with the Courier font is missing. Anyone come across 
this or shall I do a bug report
