Duck Duck Go - removing

Happy New Year expert-mates?

As I try to download form the net into Libre Office using the Firefox
(Windows 7) browser, the Duck Duck Go add on/extension interferes with my
searches such that it insinuates itself into the url bar no matter what I
type in.

I've visited the Add-Ons section of FF and clicked Remove and it displays
its removed but it won't remove, delete - it just keeps returning.

Has anyone successfully removed Duck Duck Go from FF?

Could you pls share your magic with me?!
