Exchange database

Hello all,

Quick info needed.
In Writer, string "Edit - Exchange database", is "Exchange" name of database (eg. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/aa579158(v=exchg.140).aspx) or verb (eg. change database)?

I was 100% sure it was database name, but since Kruno reffered me to menu entry, now it looks like something to change database type.
Just making sure since I barely use Writer.

Hi Mihovil,

As a native English speaker, I understand "Exchange", in this context,
to be a verb. Meaning to swap, or replace one database with another.

Hi,

It's a verb, as in "change/switch/choose". Database in question is the one
that is used for data shown in fields.

Yes, it's to change from one database to another, no name here, only an
action :slight_smile:
