Export all slides from a PowerPoint document?

Hello

I need to export all the slides that are part of a PowerPoint document. I
don't know which version of PowerPoint was used, but a right-click says
"Microsoft PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation (.ppt)".

The slides contain text and images, but Google only returned infos about how
to either export a single slide, or all the /images /or all the /text/.

In LibreOffice Impress, File > Export only exports the /current slide/.

Is there an easy way to export /all the slides/ in one go?

Thank you.

Out of band, I was suggested to install the following extension, which worked
fine:

Oops! Sorry all, I hit Reply instead of "Reply to List"

Hi
It should be possible to open a ppt by just double-clicking on it, or open
LibreOffice and use the;
File - Open
menu to open the ppt in Impress.

Tom,

The OP wanted to export all slides as images. He had no problem with opening the ppt file.

Hi
Gilles does not actually state that in the original question.

Also i tend to find it's a VERY common misunderstanding. People tend to
assume that files can only be opened and used in the same program that
created them. They have no idea what "interoperability" means.

To be fair, many proprietary programs often seem to have been set-up in
that way = to make it difficult to move to a different program. The
export-import route via some non-standarised format is often the best you
can hope for.

Most OpenSource programs do a lot of work to accept a wide variety of
formats very easily.

So when people talk about exporting, without explicitly saying why, it
makes me wonder if it's just to open the file in a different program.
