One file opens as a display of all its pages and I can't enter or operate
data in it. How can I open this file in normal mode?
Hi
I think you have just zoomed out tooo far.
You can zoom in again either by;
1. the little slider on the status-bar bottom right
2. View menu, Zoom is at the bottom of the menu
3. Ctrl and mouse-wheel
In other programs, such as most web-browsers, you can also zoom in and out
using
4. Crtl + or Ctrl -
but then most programs don't have method 1, the slider.

Tom, you're absolutely right, and thanks very much. It's taking me way too
long to make the transition from Dell to Mac (the only excuse I can think
of).

Hi
Congrats on fixing the problem!
It is always tricky to learn a new system, especially one that has such a
different ethos! It sounds like you are on the verge of breaking through
all the barriers and bad-habits that arise through years of getting used to
the Windows way.
All the published guides for LibreOffice have a brief 1 page note, i think
either in the Intro or before that, in the Preface, to help you with a
couple of the main differences. The main chapter that gets LibreOffice
really working for you is the "Styles and Templates" chapter early in the
"Getting Started Guide".
Good luck, congrats and regards from
Tom
