Why is the extension 'history manager' (http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/en/project/HistoryMaster) not in the libreoffice repository?

The 'start centre' ''improvement'' is not ideal for managing file history, because it is possible to start directly components such as 'writer'.

Do you mean other than that it is non-maintained (last build v 1.1.1
2011-03-10) and the developer(s) have never registered with the LibreOffice
Extensions site?

Does this mean that the history manager extension does not fully clear
the history of documents viewed, even if the extension manager window
shows empty (null) contents?

Correct, all the History Manager extension--or the built-in LibreOffice
routines--accomplish is modification of the per-user LibreOffice profile.
Where the recently used documents reside in the *registrymodifications.xcu*
now including the thumbnail views renderings of each document used in the
StartCenter launch panel.

They have *no* affect on the OS provided record of recently used
documents--e.g. the Recent items "Jump list" of > Windows 7.
