Hourglass/Pause When Scrolling in LO Writer

Ah, I think I know what the problem is ...
          I'd forgotten that LO's default is to save every few seconds ;-(

       I reset mine to never automatically save because (1) it's so
frustrated being in the middle of a thought when the program decides to
save;
          and (2) it never saved in a findable location.
