Importing translated files from 3.5 into 3.4

Hello all

I was trying to upload the older version (translated) (Amharic) to The Document Foundation a Pootle server, but it keeps telling me

An error has occurred. Thank you for your patience.

Unknown filetype (Libre office UI-pot.tar.gz)

can someone tell me what I am missing? is there any other way to upload the older version (translated)?

Use .zip file format.
