The following strings are used in the .desktop files for LibreOffice that you might see in something like Xfce whisker application menu.
I suggest removing the last part of the strings because Name in the .desktop file might be "LibreOffice Writer" so the comment don't need to also have "by using Writer."
Remove:
by using Writer.
by using Impress.
by using Draw.
by using Calc.
by using Math.
by using Base.
From these strings:
Create and edit text and images in letters, reports, documents and Web pages by using Writer.
Create and edit presentations for slideshows, meeting and Web pages by using Impress.
Create and edit drawings, flow charts, and logos by using Draw.
Perform calculations, analyze information and manage lists in spreadsheets by using Calc.
Create and edit scientific formulas and equations by using Math.
Manage databases, create queries and reports to track and manage your information by using Base.
Also it might be better to write something else for the Comment string for libreoffice-startcenter.desktop which is:
The office productivity suite compatible to the open and standardized ODF document format. Supported by The Document Foundation.
Seems like it is a laucher to start the 6 applications so maybe write something like this instead:
Create files in Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, and Base
Or:
Start center for creating files in Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, and Base
Or:
Start center for Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, and Base
Or whatever would be better.
I suggest not using "." at the end of the Comment-strings.
So they would end up being something like:
Create and edit text and images in letters, reports, documents and Web pages
Create and edit presentations for slideshows, meeting and Web pages
Create and edit drawings, flow charts, and logos
Perform calculations, analyze information and manage lists in spreadsheets
Create and edit scientific formulas and equations
Manage databases, create queries and reports to track and manage your information
Start center for Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math, and Base
