Installing HelpPack on Windows does nothing.

Hi.

Don't know whether this is the right place to file bugs. But installing the
HelpPack on Windows does nothing.

Win7, LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 Locale en_GB, HelpPack
LibreOffice_4.4.2_Win_x86_helppack_en-GB.msi

After installation clicking Help -> LibreOffice Help (or pressing the
toolbar button) loads this wiki page
https://help.libreoffice.org/swriter/.uno:HelpIndex?Language=en-US&System=WIN&Version=4.4#bm_id3149178

Navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreOffice 4\help\en-GB the directory
is 24M in size bit the only launchable file there is err.html which just
displays an error message. The rest of the files are all jar, db, tree and
key files and the like. There is nothing obviously launchable.

Installing help created no shortcuts on the desktop or start menu so even
after installing the HelpPack I have no documentation at all.

Anyone else have this problem. Anyone know of a workaround?

Hi
Did you install the help-pack after installing the main program? If not,
or if you are unsure then try reinstalling the help-pack. It might be a
good idea to try doing that anyway.

I got this solution emailed to me shortly after posting this message.

"The probable reason is that the User interface language is not set as
English UK to match that of the Help Pack.
Go to Options -> Language settings -> Languages -> User interface and change
the default (probably US English) to English UK."

That's exactly what it was.

The locale setting was for English UK whereas the UI settings was for
English US. It's strange that these would be different. I think they should
be the same, at least when the software is first installed.

Anyway, it's working now thanks.
