Is there any way to turn off that splash screen?

I don't really need to see LO loading and obscuring what happens to be
on my screen.

Can it be turned off?

Thanks.
MR

Couple of options:

1. Command line or shortcut "--nologo"

Good enough for me. Thanks.

I don't use Windows if I can avoid it, but this may come in handy, too.

If you're using linux, you can get LO to start on a different desktop. I
habitually use 7 desktops with email, browser, etc assigned to specific
desktops by using gDevilspie.

You can assign a keyboard shortcut to pass rapidly from desktop to
desktop - like for example Ctrl+Alt+left/right arrow keys.

Just an idea but it works for me.

Hi,
If you have root access on Linux, you can always edit the file
sofficerc located in the same folder as soffice.bin. Setting the Logo
keyword to zero seems to do the trick for me. I have not found a way to
carry this setting to my local environment (copying the file to
$HOME/sofficerc or $HOME/.sofficerc does not seem to work). Perhaps
someone would know how to do that?
I hope this helps.
