downloading the latest version;
rather wait until the kinks have been worked out.

it might be worth trying the "still" release. This is the previous branch with a number of bugs ironed out
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-still/
BTW, I would suggest keeping any zip files you download so you can restore that release should you need to.
