l10n of LibreOffice 3.3.1

Dear Olivier,

2011.02.02. 11:32 keltezéssel, Olivier Hallot írta:

I want to help, and do more on the files handling and checks, but I
don't want to start from scratch and somehow I need help to extract the
existing translation from LibreOffice (pt-BR). OOO files are now
outdated for me.

I have the files of OOo 3.3 final. Does it helps?

I extracted pt-BR translations from the current source (including your
latest update to lo-build-pt-BR.po).

SDF: http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/libreoffice-3-3-pt-BR-2011-02-03.sdf.bz2
UI PO:
http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/libreoffice-3-3-UI-pt-BR-2011-02-03.tar.bz2
Help PO:
http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/libreoffice-3-3-help-pt-BR-2011-02-03.tar.bz2

PO files can be imported to Pootle, if you wish (Rimas will do, if you
ask him).

Best regards,
Andras

Hi Andras, all,

Hi Localizers,

[...]
So first, I've chose to take care of my files, I'll work on the overall process after

2. Download SDF and/or pot files from here:
http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/libreoffice-3-3-en-US-2011-02-01.pot.tar.bz2
http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/libreoffice-3-3-en-US-2011-02-01.sdf.bz2
Update your localization as you wish. Ask for tips and tricks here.

so I've checked my old m83 OOofiles using pocompendium, then pomigrate, then pocount on the new files.
Here is what I get

TOTAL:
type strings words (source) words (translation)
translated: 71873 ( 96%) 523148 ( 97%) 581661
fuzzy: 276 ( 0%) 1305 ( 0%) n/a
untranslated: 2097 ( 2%) 9456 ( 1%) n/a
Total: 74246 533909 581661

File count: 283
Does it sound reasonable?

Now to get a full set of .po files for LibO I need to merge the LibreOffice 3.3.x specific files that are on our Pootle repository, right?
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Sophie

It does. You did not add lo-build-fr.po to your compendium, did you?

Yes, you need to add lo-build-fr.po to your compendium, before you

so I did:
pocompendium checked.po -d m84 lo-build-fr.po
where m84 is my old OOo po files directory
then
pomigrate -F -C checked.po libo33x-new pot

then I get a directory containing 533909 source words in 283 files which is different than the DA files in Pootle which contains 534013 source words.
I've no idea where I lose those words. However, if I check with Stuart files (en-GB) I get the same number of source words (the only difference is that I've a lot of untranslated strings). May be is it because of nlpsolver strings?
Am I doing something wrong or can I go on and translate the remaining strings of my migration?

Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Sophie

How do you count the numbers in directories?

I tried doing that with pocount, but it outputs a separate line for each .po file, which is way too much lines to quickly compare...

Rimas

At the end, you'll get the total of strings and words, this is what I passed in my mail yesterday.

Kind regards

The Welsh translation of 3.3 included some English strings. I should have flagged up that there was a gap between the translation on Pavel's server and the latest on the OO.o Pootle server. The latest Welsh translation of OO.o is on the Pootle server. I'm having difficulty accessing it at present (Permission Denied!) but it's nearly all there. Thanks.

Hello Rimas

I don't think I have the rights to create a new project for pt-BR and and upload these files. Can you do that for me?

Thank you.

Hi,

We are also hit by http://bugs.locamotion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1632.
I'm sorry but I've just noticed it. I'll prepare new POT files to work
on when I'm back from FOSDEM.

Newly submitted sl, en-GB etc. translations will not be affected,
because they should have these strings currently in git. I'll double
check every commit I make in order not to loose any translated string.

Best regards,
Andras

since this was a known thing from OOo DEV codeline I am using the manually
changed script with Andras' line that covers those strings as well - so
Slovenian should include them (Slovenian is and should be 100% localized).

However it is a bug to have those strings marked that way (the tag is
obsolete, if I understand correctly, that is why the oo2po ignores them).

I hope Andras you will be able to include those Slovenian translations into
the system (or that by being in sdf they are already taken care of).

Lp, m.

Yes, but first let's see, if we really need it. vcl/source/src/print.src
