Hi,

Have you read the blog post on the Planet? If you missed it, here it
is: http://libreoffice.hu/2012/11/29/logo/ (in English). You can also
search for Logo or turtle graphic on the web.

LibreLogo toolbar provides buttons and and edit box to enter Logo
commands and draw vector images in Writer.

Logo is often used in elementary schools to teach programming,
algorithms and computer graphics. Therefore Logo commands are often
translated into the native language of pupils. This is what you can do
in librelogo/source/pythonpath.po. Please do a liitle research, and
translate the commands as your national Logo standard recommends, or
you can leave them in English. Probably it does not make sense to
translate the commands, if Logo is not used in your country's schools.
The | in the strings mean that the same command will be understood by
the LibreLogo interpreted in different forms. Usually there is a long
and a short version of the command.

Please let Laszlo Nemeth (nemeth @ numbertext.org) know, if you
localize the commands, because the supported languages are hard coded
in the source code, he needs to enable it for you, it it is not
already there.

If you translate command names in librelogo/source/pythonpath.po, then
you can translate examples in the help. Otherwise leave them in
English. The <br/> tag is valid, it is not HTML, it is XML. It is a
self closing tag and it is a line break. We could have put each line
into a separate paragraph, but it was converted from MediaWiki, and
this what we got. :confused:

When translating the help, take care of the number of spaces
before/after commands. Logo programs are indented, and also spaces
after [ and before ] are important (syntax).

Had a minor fit of the giggles, national Logo standards in Scottish Gaelic? :wink: I'll leave them in English (have already done in the strings I did so far)

Eek. Ok, thanks! Sounds like I will have to test 4.0 very carefully before it comes out regarding Logo.

Put the <br/> where it has to be in your translation.

But wait, why did you ask all this? You don't localize the help to
Scottish Gaelic, do you? LibreLogo help file was moved from UI to Help
last week, when it was converted from an extension to normal code.

Fair point - I must have caught it between it being added and the help strings being shifted out. I haven't been able to get into the LO Pootle server this afternoon but I'll check - many of the issues may have gone away.

Hi,

LibreLogo in 4.0.1 will support Asian and CTL languages, depending
from the language of the user interface, and (Western, Asian, CTL)
languages of the document. You have to change the Western language of
the document/paragraph to [None], if the user interface of LibreOffice
is in this Western language, for example, to test Japanese Logo
commands in LibreOffice with English UI. (See
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61376, where I have
attached a simple Japanese test file with these language settings.)

Especially CTL and Asian languages may have special problems or
requirements, so, please, inform me about them.

Hi,

Sorry to late,

I tried Asian Language (actually Japanese), and confirmed it works
well with Western Language [None] and Asian Language "Standard -
Japanese".

I'm little busy now so I can't test whole things but selectable
keywords such as "右|右に曲がる|right|turnright|rt" (every words
means "turn right") is translated to "右" by magic icon.

You might not be able to read Japanese but I wrote a small blog
