I do not have this problem.
Is it with normal text?
What operating system on your computer?

Hi all,
I have the same problem with LibreOffice beta3 (and beta2). I use Windows XP Pro
SP3, 2.8 Ghz processor, 2 GB RAM.
Whenever I select a word and try to copy it or cut it using the right-click of
my mouse, soffice.bin process use 100 % CPU during at least 2-3 minutes and no
dialog box is displayed. In beta2, after 2 minutes the dialog box was displayed.
Uninstallation and clean installation doesn't help.
It's really a big problem for me, as it is a BASIC text operation. Only keyboard
shortcuts are usable.

Hi,
please have a look at →
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31716 Bug 31716 - [UI]:
Context menu waits several seconds before appearing
[Maybe a workaround to reduce the delay:
Open and close the Extension Manager after the start of LibO.]

It is a problem of extensions in Windows environments.
See http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/79
The solution is to remove most of your extensions
and it should solve this freeze.
I get a similar response, although it is only for about 5-10 seconds,
and the CPU is never pegged at 100%...
XP Pro sp3 32-bit, fully patched, AMD Athlon 64 processor...
Holy crap... ok, now I'm not very pleased... how the heck do I uninstall
all of these foreign language spelling dictionaries that I have
absolutely no need for?
I'm going to be *very* unhappy with LibO of I am not going to be able to
remove these.
