I just came across this article.

Hi. Is this a review for LO 4? When I click on the link I get a review for 4.0
Steve

I've always believed that PC Mag is in M$'s payroll and this article just
confirms my thoughts.

It says 5.0, when I click on the link.

It's been that way for at least 20 years!

Must be a redirect because that link takes me to http://au.pcmag.com/libreoffice-40/2249/review/libreoffice-40

The review seems to be of LibreOfice v4.0. So, a little out of date

Hi,
Recently updated to Windows 10 and LO 5 and facing some issues with refreshing the cells.

1. When the page is scrolled down in Calc, the page does not refresh
and requires use of arrow key to move to the correct cell
2. When zoom in and out of page in calc is done the page is not getting
    refreshed properly - inconsistent
3. On pivot table after filtering the row / column of the pivot table
and refreshing the pivot, the whole page becomes chaos.
4.

I think, i am missing some setting related to graphics in LO.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
I am struck up after Windows updated

Regards,
Ranjith

LO 5 is experimental (beta at best).
Install LO 4.4.5

Someone else, possibly from Australia also saw 4.0, whereas I see 5.0.
I guess that's what happens when you're upside down.

Not according to www.libreoffice.org.

Surprise, surprise.

When I click on it, it says 5.0.

But I don't agree with this: "Clunky interface. Confusing menu options". Actually I find the new MS Office interface quite confusing, and the LO menu's much easier to use. Maybe I am just a bit too old-fashioned

Well, eventually we had to find _someone_ who actually liked the
ribbon, and apparently it is this reviewer.

Regards,

Well, it looks like a 4.0 review to me. Firefox gives page info as
published time: 2013-05-01T16:57:00+00:00
and the page says "Version 4.0, recently released, looks a lot like the long-running 3.x series, but ...."

I'm definitely in the northern hemisphere, unless continental drift has increased

I wish these guys would date their reviews!

When I click the link in either Chrome or Firefox, I go to a Libreoffice
5.0 review dated August 17, 2015.

...but I had the monitor upside down, too!

I get a LO 5.0 review... but it is OK, you aren't missing anything. It
is a pretty typical drive-by rubbish review which spends most of its
time nit-picking superficial issues. Mostly it reads like an add for
pay-for products [he even includes links and prices].

"Among the new features in LibreOffice 5.0 are some that you probably
won't care about," ... yeah, classy. I love reviewers who know what
features I need and what is important to me.

And he clearly does not know how to do versioning in LO. So he
criticizes it as wanting.

I should get a job writing these kinds of reviews - EASY MONEY!

I miss the depth of old BYTE! magazine reviews.

I have every print issue of Byte on my shelf, right from the first,
Sept. 1975. I bought my first subscription, at the Ottawa Hamfest in
1975, from the original publisher, Wayne Green.
