LibreOffice crashes every day

Good evening
Another probably stupid question.

As I said in my previous post, I am using 7.18 on a Windows 10 machine.
I upgraded to 7.18 a few days back from 7.12.

Since I am working on certain files both at home and in my little clinic, I tend to put those files on
cloud storage places like Dropbox and a few other services.

Since maybe 2 month now, LibreOffice crashes at least once DAILY; then asking me to send a crash report (which I always do).
I can be restarted normally, but often a portion of my work is lost.

Since I had trouble in the past using an online storage called "pCloud", I now use my local hard disk to save the files and
make copies to take them to the other place.

Still, this does not seem to change anything. LO still crashes at least once a day.
Other applications do not seem to be affected.

Is there something I may try to improve the situation?
Thank you.
Thomas

I had a similar problem with an earlier version, do not remember which (7.2.4.x. ?), but switching to 7.2.5.2. solved it. Running on Windows 10.

There is no version 7.18 yet.

If installing version 7.2.5.2 or 7.3.0.3 does not resolve your issue,
try the "Help -> Restart in Safe Mode..." menu option.

Good afternoon

There is no version 7.18 yet.

Well, the other day when I downloaded what was presented to me as the newest version, it was 7.1.8...
Thirty minutes ago I downloaded 7.2.5.2 and installed it.
It crashed almost immediately.
Starting in safe mode did not do much good.

And .. I just opened and ordinary writer file, currently without any images or graphics, and
LO writer simply does not keep up with my typing -> it working/responding VERY slow.
This is something new to me.
If this cannot be brought a little "up to speed", it would render Libreoffice useless.
Waiting for the letters typed to appear on the screen is not really acceptable these days.
(Windows 10 workstation, 2 XEON processors = 32 CPUs, 64 GB RAM, much more than enough storage space)

Is there something else I could try?
Thank you.

Hi Thomas,

did you try to disable Skia? (Options → LO → View → Graphics Output)

Hi Thomas,

I have no idea what "Skia" is and seen this the first time.
Now I have to wait and see how LO works for a day or so.

Unfortunately, it does NOT speed up the very slow display of typed characters.
Having to wait for the screen to display what the fingers typed 5 minutes (exaggerated!) ago is maddening.

Hi Thomas,

could be something like this:
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/slow-typing-with-writer-in-windows-11/71028/15
but you are using WIN10, not WIN11.

There are bugs reported for this problem:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145963
Many duplicates there.
