[LibreOffice] How do I add new Language to Libre Office.

Hi All, I am very new to LibreOffice also very few translation experienced
in Open Office. I want to translate Libre Office in to a new language which
is not already on the Libre Office Localization list.
So please someone tell me the procedure to add new language to Libre
Office. My language uses brx as code name. Its a new Indian language uses
Devanagari script for writing language. The sourceware bugzilla for brx_IN
is about to release, before that i need to learn how to add new language to
Libre Office.

Thanks

SN

brx, isn't that Bodo? There is a release for that language already, isn't there? At least it's in the dropdown. However, brx is not in the language teams list (http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Language_Teams) so maybe the team is dormant and needs someone new?

In any case - welcome to LibreOffice

I'Ve just come across this string:

Installs the English user interface with a key ID before each UI element

Is this, oh joy, what I think it is? Something so I can identify which UI is which string so we can easily find them in the files? Please say yes

Michael

Thank you for the replying, yes my language is brx (Bodo). Yes it has many
untranslated strings, but the Bodo Language is not present in the
Language_Teams. I am interested in creating Bodo Language Team in
LibreOffice. For this can you guide me a little bit.
Technically i am a little strong but very new in Libre Office project, I
will be very happy if i can know the steps to build a team. And I want to
be Maintainer and Lead Translator at
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/brx/

About Me: M. Tech in Information Security from NIT Calicut www.nitc.ac.in,
B. Tech in Computer Science from NIT Silchar www.nits.ac.in. Please do
consider my proposal.

Thank You

Welcome to LibreOffice. Please register to Pootle
(https://translations.documentfoundation.org/) and tell me your user
name. I'll give you the necessary rights. You can also register to
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org, and edit the Language Team page
yourself, but if you don't want to, then I can fill the information
for you.

If you need a localized brx.libreoffice.org website, then read
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/NewWebsiteNLT

Your translations in Pootle will be pushed to the source code
regularly, deadlines are announced in this list. Next main release
will be LibreOffice 3.5, I think it would make sense, if you worked on
3.5 strings. Please let us know, if you have questions.

Best regards,
Andras
