libreoffice impress can converts from pptx to jpeg multi-page, this is possible?

hello

i like very libreoffice, thank you team libreoffice!

then i need to ask you,

i hvae pptx convert to jpeg but with multi-page because i have 200 pages, i did try:

export...>save in jpeg>size and quality, etc, > exported but not all pages...

how i can convert all page in jpeg?how?
thank you

If you want all 200 pages to have their own JPEG file, then you want to do an HTML export.

Create a folder to hold the HTML presentation. Use the Export and choose HTML. Choose the defaults, but you will need to change the image section to JPG, compression rate, and the screen size. I just did this and got thumbnails of the images and the images in the screen size. I used 3.4.1 for Ubuntu 64-bit.

The images will be numbered from 0 to 199 - for 200 slides.

Why do you need to have all the pages converted to JPEG?

Hi
Another route might be to
File - "Export to Pdf"
Pdf is basically an image format and can be opened by most image editing software, such as Gimp.
http://www.gimp.org/

From there you can save it to most formats.

Any Jpg image can suffer from wrinkles around sharp objects in the picture, like the bow-wave a boat creates.  It is a "lossy" compression.  Gif tends to be better for documents but doesn't handle smooth colour changes well.  It's better for sharp changes in colour such as text or logos.  It's usually much lighter-weight than Jpg so it's often better for websites or emailing.  Gif can also hold layers although 200 might be too many.  You can play around with how the layers are handled after saving and re-opening.  I often get the first page to display fairly briefly and then any page with written text a lot slower.  Other people have each layer display extremely briefly to make a very light-weight animation.  Png also allows layers.  It is "lossless" compression so you don't get weird crinkles or strange distortions.  Sometimes file-sizes are a little bigger.  Jpg is the famous one but Png is usually better quality, more flexible and just as
easy to use.

Most people are familiar with straight Pdf though so you might like to see if that is better for the task.  As Tim said, it depends on why you need Jpg.

-facebook
-flick
-picasa
-etc

okay? thank you again
force libreoffice!

If you use Linux then you can convert the file from PDF to individual
JPGs easily:
convert file.pdf file.jpg

Not a problem:

Hi There,

Do you know how to get out of the "restore windows" box so that I can open documents? It won't disappear...thanks so much.

Regards,
Numi

ok but remember for new user has not experience like terminal or other software...
i wanted that libreoffice has rich features until new user will be like and download libreoffice "because libreoffice is rich features"
example my friends dont know linux, not know terminal, they dont know to how install third-part.. my friends are very good but not know.. this mean they are newbie users...

for me it's not bad if libreoffice adds new feature like style (http://dhdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Gwenview-snapshot05.png) right? it's not pain right?

do you think if libreoffice offers export various so users don't like it?not users will like it and download it..

i wanted libreoffice offers rich feature with little code like export, but not big code like improved fast boot libreoffice.
for little code can add feature rich, for bog code there is time for future roadmap but not miss it for big code ok?
but for me importante is libreoffice is grow up like young, stable, new fashion
but new feature so attracts to new users to use it, new download.

for now fashion is:
facebook, flickr, youtube, blog, so i think libreoffice can add new feature:
export to flickr, etc.. see link picture:http://dhdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Gwenview-snapshot05.png

this is an example for explain to you team libreoffice ok?
thank you again

how i can convert all page in jpeg?how?

It is quite easy (and fast) with the right program

First use LibreOffice's "Export as PDF" to convert the PPTX file to PDF and
make sure to choose Lossless compression (you don't want to have JPEG
compression twice)

Then download and install PDF Xchange Viewer (it's Freeware) from Tracker
Software
http://www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-viewer

Use PDF Xchange Viewer to open the PDF and choose File, Export, Export to
Image. Set Image type to JPEG and adjust compression in Options (don't go
under 80% Quality)

Now the final trick: adjust Page Zoom until the preview on the right shows
1920 pixels wide (you probably can't get 1080 pixels high because of the
proportions)

Now just sit back and relax until your 200 images are created

A bit confused by other replies, but export of impress files to html
creates images of each page, in png format.

As Mr/Ms Cohen states, you could use imagemagick to convert the images
to jpeg, but unless the original presentation pages contained
photographic images, it is probably better to keep to png format to
reduce further loss of image quality during the conversion to jpeg.

Also with imagemagick you can change the size of the images using the
command 'resize'.

ok but remember for new user has not experience like terminal or other software...

You do not need any experience with the command line to copy and paste
the command that I sent to you. Copy and pasting the command is much
easier than saying "click the icon that looks like a duck, it might be
near the left if you have such-and-such configuration and screen size,
now click the icon that looks like a telescope, which might not appear
in your configuration, now right click and look in the ZXC submenu for
the QWERTY item"...

Gwen is an image-viewing application, not an office suite. I would
expect it to have an export feature, but I would not expect that of an
office suite.

do you think if libreoffice offers export various so users don't like it?not users will like it and download it..

I think that your idea would make a terrific plugin, but is not
suitable for the core application. But that is only my own opinion. If
you feel that the feature is justified then go ahead and file a RFE.

Hi
To post a "feature request" or "wish-list" item this guide might have some useful points.
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport
I would [put "[wishlist]" in the subject line along with 2 or 3 keywords so people know what the issue is about.  Then one of the drop-downs, possibly "severity"(?) has an option such as "feature request" or something like that.

I agree that it helps to give a link to how to run terminal commands when giving command-line instructions but it's not always possible and sometimes might be seen as patronising.  It's impossible to get the right balance every time but hopefully people are comfortable enough to ask for clarification if answers are not clear enough for them.

The list can be very intimidating and unfriendly but some people here really do want to help.

In your options before it does the exporting, you can change the image type to JPG and also change the size of the image. I do not remember about setting the "quality" of the JPG image there, though I know that I have software that can save JPG images as a "lossless" type. If the size of the image is too small, you can resize it in many packages, but the issue with the "original person" was he had 200 images/slides to make into JPG images.
