LibreOffice on the Big Screen

All:

Apache Open Office has
https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/with_special_guest_star_apache which
lists some appearances of Apache Open Office on TV and movies.

Questions:
* Is/has anybody tracked instances of LibreOffice in movies or TV?
* If so, where is that information posted?

Not wondering, per se, about documentaries, such as the one that
http://youtu.be/PFowLtr39Ug is an extract of.

Wondering more about entertainment oriented material.

I thought these appearances of products tend to be paid for my the companies pushing their products. Coke does this as well as other companies, since it is a type of advertising.

I really think that we should look into "how" these "spots" on TV and in movies came about.

I'm maintaining the YouTube channel for TDF. I've set playlists with the
links that have been forwarded to me. If you want me to add some videos,
just let me know.

Kind regards

I thought these appearances of products tend to be paid for my the companies pushing their products.

Whilst product placement is fairly common, there are instances where
either the director, or executive producer does not want to deal with
the issues related to product placement, in a specific scene, sequence,
or sub-plot.

Coke does this as well as other companies, since it is a type of

advertising.

I've forgotten which TV series it was, but there was a scene where the
stars were discussing a computer problem that only happens with
Microsoft products. One could clearly see the distinctive Apple Logo on
their desktops.

I really think that we should look into "how" these "spots" on TV and in movies came about.

Serendipity.

Hi
Ahh, i thought you were talking about something different. I just noticed
that "Which" recommends LibreOffice and doesn't even mention other
alternatives. So i got a bit muddled in my excitement.

Anyway, scratch my negativity! = I think it would be fantastic to add such
mentions to the LOWN page. Anyone can edit it and "the more the merrier".

Hi
We used to, at least for mainstream press articles, but it started to get
ridiculously swamped. It's just soo much easier to google it (or
duck-duck-go-it or whatever) otherwise the information is outdated faster
than people can copy&paste.

However a new initiative does report on some of the best and most
interesting ones so it might well be good to add to;
