Am I correct to say that LightProof is the tool behind the grammar check function of LibreOffice 3.5?

What should I do to modify or to add new grammar rules?

What should I do to add grammar rules for another kind of language, not English?

You'll have to get involved with the LibO development team.

For LightProof, I don't know. For the LanguageTool (www.languagetool.org),
which is much better than LightProof, you can do so at it's website. You're
very much welcome.
