Linking a Form to another table

Hi All

I have another table of data that I would like to link to an existing Form.

The Form was originally linked to Table "ABC" but I now want to link it to table "Name/DEF".

Is this possible and how would I do this please??

Thanks for any help

(I'm using PClinuxOS and LibreOffice 5.0.0.2 to a MySQL Database)

Hi All

I take from the lack of any replies to my post of a few days back that either anyone who can help out is still on Christmas Holidays or this just can not be done ??

I suppose you could manage this by changing the properties of the form.

E.g. in the Form Editor right-click any form element and choose "Form..."
and see at the tab "Data".
Alternatively select "Main Form" in the Form Navigator.

In reality your question does not make very much sense. A form has a table that to which it is linked. The form's controls are linked with the fields of that table.a
Do you have another table with the same fields that you want to use instead of the table you now have linked to the same form.
Please explain why you want to do this.

Dan

Thanks Stephan and Dan - I appreciate.

Stephan - I will give your idea a try...

Dan - I've had several crashes and problems and during a recent backup and re-build I found my Back-up and screwed up completely and I lost my Database!!

Digging around in old backups I found a slightly older system but it's table was missing but another one was one level down. I now want to link the Form to this other table with a different name and, as I said is in a different location.

The data in this table is OK so the linking is all I now need to do. My form is quite complex so a re-link would be the quicker option.

Thanks to you both

Hi All

Am still trying to connect my existing 'Input Form' to a different Table.
Been busy so got round to trying it again today!!

Now when I try to link to an existing Database I get the error "The JBDC Driver could not be loaded".
The Class is "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" which worked before.

Any idea what is wrong or what I can check - I'm lost!!

Thanks
