I just installed 4.0.0.3 on my Win7 laptop.
It will not show anyprinters at all. Claims there is noneis installed.
4.0.0.2 does prints fine, but 4.0.0.3 does not.
This is a Show Stopper.

Crap, can you open a bug report on free desktop. Our QA team will
investigate.

Never opened a bug report before, if I remember correctly.
Do you want me to send you a screen clip of what it looks like "off list"?
I have not installed .3 on any Ubuntu systems yet, but will go back to .2 for Win7.

I believe you We just need a bug report so we can escalate this
immediately.

BSA is pretty straight forward to report. You can send me a screenshot if
you want, I'll take a look.

4.0.0.2 reinstalled over top of .3, needed to do the "repair" since it would not run after the initial install of .2 over .3. After I did the "repair" 4.0.0.2 works fine and prints fine. Whatever the bug is, it happened when during the .3 changes.
I have NOT, tried 4.0.0.3 or .2 on any other OS besides Win7 64-bit.
I only have
Win7 [64-bit], WinXP[32-bit],
Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 64-bit and 10.04 32-bit.
Hi
Just post what you can. If the wiki-page asks for something that is not easy to add then don't worry about it. Post anyway. You can always come back to that point later and add an attachment or comment to the existing report. The important thing is to post the report quickly.

Well, I installed .2 back over .3 and the printers were there - same profile unless 4.0.0.2 resets the profile when installed.
Just installed .3 on a WinXP laptop. Did not get the problem.
Got notice that is is not a show stopper, but "major high", since it could not be duplicated.
Since you said it was already reported before I did today, then I must not be the only one that gets this error with Win7.

Just installed 4.0.0.3 over 4.0.0.2 on a Win 7 laptop and printing works
perfectly.
Sorry mine did not.
XP install over 3.6.4 worked fine though.
have gone back to .2 and will do a command line install in the morning [or so] and see about it then.
One thing though, my laptop told me I could not uninstall .3 since I was not the administrator, even though I did a clean install of Win7 and I am the only user account ever created on it.
Bug fdo#60177 <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60177>
resolved as invalid after successful installation and printer function.
Anyone experiencing similar printer configuration issue on LibreOffice for
Windows upgrade to 4.0.0.3 RC3, i.e. Print dialogs show no printers, please
capture installation log and user profile and reopen this bug to post them.

Maybe you should let people know how to capture that log. If I know how to do it, after I had the problem, I would have given it to the bug reporting process.
I have been installing LO since its earliest days and no not know how to capture the log wile doing a "normal" install, not a command line install like I finally did to get it working.
Tim,
Good idea. I'll poke around on the Wiki's and see if I can find a good spot
to insert it. Of course folks would then need to realize they'd need to look
in the Wiki to get the information on how to capture a log of the install if
they're having problems with a Windows installation.
Suspect it will go under the "how-to submit a bug" Wiki content.

Hi
I think
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport
already has something about how to get an strace or something in Windows. Perhaps somewhere in that page would be good.

Lets make it easier for people than dealing with a bug report process.
Make it a place where you will find info to save or get before you make a bug report.
I had to make an account to get into the bug reporting system. How many people do you want to do that and then search for answers?
You don't need an account to search for bugs and read reports. You only need
it to change status of bugs and post comments.
How do you do this exactly? The "Bug" heading on the home page goes to a page to submit a bug report. You have to log in before you can do anything. You can't search for bugs. There is no way to search for bugs from the home page. The "Get Help" page doesn't have an option to do this either.

You must go directly to FreeDesktop Bugzilla:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/query.cgi
Please note that FreeDesktop hosts bug tracking systems for bunch of open
source projects, so you must narrow down your queries to LibreOffice.
To find bugzilla link on LO site, you must go to LO website, "Get involved",
"QA" (Quality Assurance):
https://www.libreoffice.org/get-involved/qa-testers/
There you will also find links to TDF wiki pages that contains in-depth
knowledge about bug reporting, triaging and testing.
But yes, Bug Submission Assistant is the place of first contact for most users,
yet it requires account to only search for bugs. There should be some note
that you can search for bugs and read them without account.
