LO 4.1.3.2

Hi

HATS OFF to the complete LO team for the splendid LO pack. Enjoy using it. GREAT WORK.

Today got the msg update available. I downloaded 4.1.3.2 from the LO site, but while install it displays an error msg

"ERROR 1335. The cabinet file 'libreoffice1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt & cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the cd-rom, or a problem with this package."

shows 3 options Abort Retry Ignore

tried Retry but the error msg again comes up. WHAT should I do???

Pls HELP.

Regards
Kunwar

You should try to download LibreOffice again. The file has probably been
corrupted during the transfer.

Perhaps try downloading from a different mirror? (if you can figure out how).

Also perhaps try using a different web-browser. Do you use Firefox or
Internet Explorer or something else?

Obviously the immediate thing to do is to "Abort" the current install
(if you haven't already) and maybe see if you can still use
LibreOffice. If it is still working then you could leave the new
downloading for a few days or longer.

There have been quite a few posts about mirrors failing and I had this
problem last night as well.... however a torrent download appeared to
work just fine.

Hi
There was a similar problem a couple of weeks ago and it got fixed
really quickly when the websites mailing list were told. Can anyone
let them know about this recurrence? Is anyone here on their mailing
list?

Today I downloaded the install exe and installed it safely on Windows 8.1, an
office production system.

Retry to download and install

Hi
Thanks! :)) Glad you figured it out!

Btw i've not heard SoS being used in that sort of context but now that
i look it up there ARE all sorts of different things it could stand
for. I've only heard it used in the emergency context. So, i'm
intrigued what you meant.

Hi

It was KIND of YOU & the LO team, bailing me out SO FAST.

AND for the REALLY GREAT LIBRE OFFICE PACK

THANKS & regards
kunwar

Hi Tom,

By SOS I meant the response for HELP & GUIDANCE was so fast & forthcoming. Same as in an emergency & it was indeed an emergency coz the previous version of LO had stopped working & the updated version not getting installed. No files would open and if at all in notepad.

I asked for HELP & THERE IT WAS - INSTANTLY.

Thanks once again for the HELP & GUIDANCE.

HATS OFF

Hi
Thanks  It's kind of you to say so  We aim to be reasonably swift but
it doesn't always work out that way. I'm glad you were happy with the
response time.

Congrats on getting it sorted out!
