LO ignores DE settings

Does anyone know why LO is the only application that does not respect
KDE Plasma desktop settings.

One example is the system cursor theme is set to "wonderland", but when
any LO window gets focus it changes the cursor them to something that
looks like "White Glass".

I am not currently running KDE, but it may have to do with a the VCL
plugin. See this comment in a bug report I am trying to straighten out
in GTK3:

BTW I really like the Wonderland cursor, a hang over from my KDE4 from
my old Mageia 3 install!
