Math: Untranslated Quickhelp in left pane

Hello @ll,
when I start LO's StartCenter, then choose "Math Formular" (in
German "Neue Formel") on the left pane, and hold the mouse pointer
on the topleft symbol (this + and the square right of it) in Math's
main window, I see e.g. "+ Sign" instead of "+-Zeichen" as a
Quickhelp, as I would expect it ... :frowning: And this is also the case, if
I hold the mouse pointer on every other symbol like the "-" and
square etc. ... :frowning:
"Can someone else confirm it?

LO: Version: 4.2.0.1 Build ID:
7bf567613a536ded11709b952950c9e8f7181a4a (parallel installed, with
Germanophone lang- as well as helppack)
OS: Debian Testing AMD64

Thanks for testing
Thomas.

Hi, Thomas,

I can confirm, none of the tooltips of the symbols pane is localized.

Running same build as you, just on OS X (the 64-bit version) with Slovenian
langpack.

Good morning Martin, *,

thank you very much

Do you by any chance know, if this is already reported to BZ?
Otherwise I will search there later today ...
Thanks again for confirming and have a nice day
Thomas.

I fixed the bug, but it means 224 new strings to translate.
Fortunately strings are not entirely new, they are the same that we
had translated for the old toolbox.

Best regards,
Andras

Hi Andras,
Do you know when the strings will be on pootle?
Cheers
Sophie

GSM

Will they be automatically transferred, then?

Regards,
Mihkel

Hi,

what file were they in (the old strings)? What was the date they were
erased from that file? If someone knows this would help me retrieve them
from older translations.

Fortunately strings are not entirely new, they are the same that we
had translated for the old toolbox.

So most likely they can be reused. Or not?

Regards

OK, I see, they were in the same file and were removed from 4.2.x code
sometime in September. So they are contained in the 4.1.x series, I guess.

Not all strings are same as in that file, the dialog has been a bit
redesigned.

I found a probable error in one of the strings:
the second "Coproduct" (RID_COPROD_FROMX_HELP) should probably be
"Coproduct Subscript Bottom" (at least by analogy to other strings).

O.K. Is there some kind of automatism, which will reuse the old
strings, or do we need to translate all strings again?
Thanks again
Thomas.
