Navigation Bar does not work

A few days ago I installed the newest Libreoffice version (Versie: 4.2.1.1
Build ID: d7dbbd7842e6a58b0f521599204e827654e1fb8b) on my Mageia 3 computer and found that the navigation bar does not work anymore. When I click on cross references I get to the place indicated, but the navigation bar does not notice that I jumped from one place in the writer document to another.

Another problem is that every time I start the program I must make it visible again.

Does anyone know what to do to remedy these p[roblems?

Greetings,

Erik.

Hi
Perhaps try renaming the User Profile?
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
The fresh install uses the old profile and it's possible that
something is wonky in there that only just "came to light" after
gaining the huge boost in extra features.

Both problems are weird and "should not happen" and renaming the User
Profuile is often a quick way of solving all sorts of weirdnesses like
that.

Dear Tom,

I tried your advice. It seems that the problem has gone. The program is a bit snappier now too, so I believe yout suggestions was right.

Thanks.

Erik Jan

Hi
Thanks, and congrats! Renaming the User Profile often fixes weird
problems that shouldn't happen.

The usual problem it solves is some unexpected interaction between a
combination of Extensions. So if you need to install Extensions and
the problem happens again then it might only be that last Extension
you need to uninstall. By renaming rather than deleting the User
Profile it means you can copy back any of the galleries, templates
and/or backups and any other stuff that is kept in there. Again if
the problem reoccurs then it's hopefully fairly easy to work out which
template or back-up needs to be removed again.
