New Pootle pilot server

Hi,

The installation of the pilot Pootle server for TDF is now complete. It's
using a dump from the 7th of November.

You can access this pilot server at https://libreoffice.locamotion.org

Yes, I know the certificate error pops up but since it's a temporary thing
we can live with that, can't we?

Please test this new server during the next few days and report problems
here. We wouldn't like to make the real switch if any big issues arise.

The server is **for testing purposes only** and that *any data entered will
be lost*.

If all goes well, we would make the final switch on Monday.

This final switch will require a downtime of few hours in the current
official server (translations.documentfoundation.org) in order to upgrade
the DB and avoid any data losses.

Additional downtime is expected next week, related to the uploading of
LibreOffice 4.0 templates. I'll write more about that later.

Thanks,
Andras

I didn't find a functional problem when I quickly sweeped through it
(will test more thoroughly a bit later), but some of the active
elements (Show timeline, Add comment etc.) using the LO green are a
bit too faint and hard to see in their inactive state so that could
use some tweaking. Also the completion status bars use different
lengths, that seems to be intentional and depends on number of
strings, but it looks like it doesn't work 100%, ie in Czech UI
project, all the status bars are too short.

Hi Andras,

· This is not a big issue, but when logging, the default language is... a
strange language (but not the one of my browser). I think this work
different in the 'old' website.

· When trying to download a zip of the directories (I've tried with
Catalan, Spanish and a couple more), I get the following error:
Server ErrorAn error has occurred. Thank you for your patience.Error

/var/data/pootle/www/pootle-master/translations/libo_help/ca/sbasic/guide.po,

Hi,

I found the same functional problem for Romanian language, that Paul Iranzo (A(z) /var/data/pootle/www/pootle-master/translations/libo_ui/ro/accessibility/source/helper.po elérése közben hiba történt, a fájlrendszer a következő hibát adta: No such file or directory).

And I completely agree with khagaroth that the colors are not optimal. It's very vivid colors and low contrast for day to day usage, I propose to use the default theme (if it's same with old theme), and only make a personalized header for TDF.

Hi All,
I am unable to access the server as says "500 Internal Server Error". It open the home page once and when i click a link, the 500 occurs again.

Hello Andras,

Please test this new server during the next few days and report problems
here. We wouldn't like to make the real switch if any big issues arise.

1. From https://libreoffice.locamotion.org/th/terminology/notices,
clicking tab "Translate" lead to https://translate.html/ This seems
to affect all languages.

2. Using Google Chrome 23 on WinXP, *every* click of translation unit,
such as clicking any word from [1], including the first page load,
result in "Unknown error" appeared at the bottom of the page. This
appeared with both logged-in and non logged-in state.
Using Firefox 16 on WinXP, this problem didn't appear, neither logged-in or not.

3. Please see another thread [2]

LO is not only green... (
