I want try to translate something on belarusian (be) but on site
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Language_Teams
is no team for this language. What to do?
Hi,
If you can't find the Belarusian language team, it means that there is
none. Would like to start it? If so, please edit the wiki page. If you
are not registered to wiki, I can also add your details. Let me know.
Then you should register to our Pootle
(http://translations.documentfoundation.org/) and tell us your login
name. Rights for Belarusian will be granted to you and you can start
to translate. Start with "LibreOffice 3.3.x – LibO specific strings
only".
Best regards,
Andras

While we're at this: currently our Belarussian locale is called 'be-BY'. Andras, would it be problematic to rename it to 'be'? The country code is not needed for this locale IMO.
Alexander (sorry if I transliterated your name incorrectly), would you object this?
Rimas
No, it wouldn't. I also thought about this. We can do this on master.
Cheers,
Andras

Привет, Александр,
have you received reply emails from me and Andras Timar regarding this on February 25?
If not, I can forward them to you, but you may also want to subscribe to l10n@libreoffice.org mailing list.

Rimas Kudelis
Hi Sasha,
Are you on the list now? Could you tell us your login name so that Rimas could grant you the right to begin your work? Thanks.
Kind regards
Sophie
Hi Sophie,
I think we'll want to rename the locale from be-BY to be first.
Andras, how do we do that? Is it as simple as renaming the files/directories ?

Hi Rimas,
You can rename it in Pootle, I'll do the same in the source. If you
opengrok be-BY, you'll see a few places (not all!) where it needs to
be changed.
Thanks,
Andras

Hi,
I've renamed the file and project. Can we automate everything else in any way?
Rimas
Hi Rimas,
What do you mean by automating? PO files do not contain language code.
It needs to be fixed at some places in the source, that's all. For
3.3.2 I will not touch it, obviously.
Cheers,
Andras
