Oracle Java 1.7.0_04 is not compatible with the Writer of LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 on the Windows platform

Dear all,

It is seemed that Oracle Java 1.7.0_04 is not compatible with
the Writer of LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 on the Windows platform XP + SP3. When
we click " File " --> " Send ", the Writer will be forced to get closed
even we use a new built user profile. If we use the old version
1.6.0_31, the Writer will function normally. If we disable Java, then we
will get a warning if we click " File " --> " Send " and the LibreOffice
will be forced to get closed too. Please help to check if we need to
send a bug report.

        Thank you and Regards,

                                                            Michael

P.S. : There is no problem if we use on the Linux platform, CentOS.

Hi
It is quite likely to be true for everyone.  A bug-report would be nice.  Both of these links do the same thing and i am not sure which you would prefer using
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport
https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/
The official one is quite pretty and helpful.  The wiki one gives a lot of info.

... if and only on a 64 bit Windows platform. On a 32 bit platform I could not find any issues with Java 7.

LibreOffice is not the only application having problems with Java 7. This is why Java 6 is still maintained. Latest version is 1.6.0_32.

Like always, your are plain wrong.

A bug-report would be nice.

The devs are well aware of this. They do not need more duplicates in their issue database.

Hi
That is interesting.  Does the official information about the 3.5.x branch still claim that it works with java 7?  If it doesn't then perhaps that should be changed.

I guess you haven't read any of the bug-report guides?  One of the first things they do is help you look for duplicates of the problem you are reporting to help you avoid needing to post a new report.

I don't care of official information. I know every feature that depends on
Java and I can prove that it works (which you never do).

Hi
It seems a shame to hide all that hard-work.  If only thee was some way of making notes on-line that people could access and possibly build on if they did similar experiments on different systems.

Let me see ... storage of information needed. How do we do this? Sounds like a database needs to be planned, designed, and the created.

I suggest this database: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/

Dear all,

I have filed a bug report with ticket number 50863 and hope to get
the problem solved as expected.

    Thank you and Regards,
