Is any official LO release proved/stated to work on OS X Maverics?

According to Norbert Thiebaud, who has tested it, it is working, but
only if you install the new Java which is coming with the OS (it is an
additional install).

Depends.. The upcomping 4.1.3 should work out-of-the box, earlier
versions might crash at first because of the changed java in Mavericks
(doesn't come with real java by default, but has some dummy that
prompts you to install java when you try to use java the first time,
LO doesn't expect that yet and very likely crashes). But after you
installed java, LO also works on Mavericks.

4.1.3 avoids the problem, by not bundling an extension that is
loading java very early.
