Hi,

the panel icon tip text is incorrect and not translated (to Slovak, but
perhaps also other languages).

Observed in:

and Ubuntu 10.10

The problem:

The tip text says:

Hi Milos,

and Ubuntu 10.10

The problem:

The tip text says:
--
Libreoffice 3.3
The office productivity suite compatible to the open and standardized
ODF document format. Supported by Sun Microsystems.
--

Please notice the word "Sun"

Confirmed with the French version under Linux too.

This string is different is OOO 3.3:

--
The office productivity suite compatible to the open and standardized
ODF document format. Supported by Oracle.
--

I think that this string should be added to the LO specific strings and
"Sun Microsystems" should be replaced by TDF.

Yes, nice catch  Andras, I think you take care to those kind of issue, do we open a bug for that?

Kind regards
Sophie

Currently this file is not localizable. I changed Sun to TDF in
master. I asked for inclusion in 3.3 or 3.3.1
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33191

Thanks,
Andras

Would it be accurate to say "Supported by TDF"? It's the kind of
sentence where I, at least, would expect to read a company name, since I
read it as "You can have professional support by (COMPANY)"; probably
I'd rather suppress the whole "Supported by ..." part, unless the
sentence is already used somewhere else or someone finds it really
useful.

  Andrea.

TDF should not be mentioned as the real working bees wont even get its email
adresses. If you want to put somenthing there, please add references to odf,
like "in support of open document standards" or something of that kind.
Also, forks of LO won't need to change this string

It is already used.

Then it should be changed! Funny how companies always try to sell the
community effort under their branding. Maybe ODF in this text should be
replaced by Google, Novell, RedHat etc.

I was wrong. It is localizable. You did not see it translated because of
https://bugs.freedesktop.org//show_bug.cgi?id=33105
