Thanks Brian, you're correct.

I think you are misunderstanding what you are being told. The suggestion is (and this is how it appears to me too) that the value in the Location field of the PDF properties is not some fossilised indication of where the file was located when it was created but instead simply a note of where the file being displayed is currently housed. Your message subject, I think, betrays your misunderstanding: the Location field is not a property of "PDF creation" but simply of the file's current location.

Now I feel like an idiot.
