Pootle upgrade and migration finished

Hi all,

The upgrade to the new Pootle version and the migration is over. Really
sorry for the inconvenience, but it's a very big database we have there.

Please check that all is in order for you, I've visited all the
interface but I may have miss something. I'll document the new features
on the wiki next week.

Before the migration, several languages were not updated, Cloph will
trigger a new full update later today (still a task running for the moment).

Let me know if you find anything wrong and thanks so much for your
patience, I hope you'll enjoy the new functionalities (check the
comments dialog

Cheers

Hi Sophie,
Thanks for your Job, the server seems better now :).
But I noticed, it doesn't suggest the same translations made on the old
versions.

Anyway, thanks

Hi Sophie,

Thanks! but they go to Dwayne and his team, Cloph and Guilhem, I'll
transmit

But I noticed, it doesn't suggest the same translations made on the old
versions.

We have removed the old projects, but kept 5.1 and 5.2 so you should get
them from those projects if strings exist. Do you have a link to an example?
Cheers
Sophie

Our compliments for new Pootle upgrade: now it works better and faster and
is more user frendly.
Thanks to staff work.

Venetian localization group.

Hi Sophie,

Thanks for this. Looks good. Only that I am not able to locate the detailed
translation stats that the earlier version had. Is there a way to view it?
The current version only states the score for the last 30 days. Thanks.

Best regards,
Elanjelian

The files are all in order but is anyone else having problems with the page scrolling? I get so far down the page and then the edit box, rather than being visible, starts dropping off the bottom of the screen. I scroll down, commit and boom, it's back down at the bottom off the screen. Very annoying. The only workaround I've found is to translate till I hit the bottom of the screen, then reload the page which removes the translated strings from the UI.

What stats are you talking about? there is a bug that Cloph reported
about the last update on master UI, please tell me exactly what project
and where  Thanks.

Strange behavior, I just checked and can't reproduce, it's just as
usual. I'm using Firefox and Ubuntu, what is your browser?

Cheers
Sophie

Firefox on Windows 10, I'm getting it on my desktop and laptop.
Michael

Thank you All

now working correctly

Best wishes to you all!!!

Hi Sophie,

Let me know if you find anything wrong and thanks so much for your
patience, I hope you'll enjoy the new functionalities (check the
comments dialog

Translation statistics are unreliable. For example:
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/projects/libo_online/ shows 760
words incomplete for Slovak, while
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/sk/libo_online/ shows that
Slovak is 100% translated.

Slovak is just an example, I found this in case of many languages.

Cheers,
Andras

Hi

I confirm this behaviour: the "All Languages" summary differs from the real (specific) string situation.

Ciao

Thanks for your feedback, I've added Dwayne in copy.
@Dwayne, could you have a quick look to that and maybe this has
something to do with

Hi!

Let me know if you find anything wrong

I can't log in with my user name ("Kü"), and always get a server error.
I think it's a problem with german umlauts as I have had another problem
for the last great upgrade of Pootle server with this.

The shown of server error is permanent and could only be solved by
deleting the session cookie.

Greetings,
Christian Kühl.

For example the link to my statistics
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/user/cornouws/
In the previous version all sort of details could be seen over many
months. (I know one committee too, that is interested in these.)

ah, ok, I never use this area. I put it on my list of questions for
Dwayne, maybe it's a setting.

Cloph has reported your problem to Dwayne, his team is investigating
your issue with umlauts. They have been able to solve it last time, hope
that will be fixed soon now.

Cor got it right. We found the monthly user contribution stats useful, and
I even compensate one of my staff who translates LO based on this. The
stats also gave us an option to zoom in to specific translations and check
on the quality. Very useful. Now, almost nothing is there.

Elanjelian
