problem in impress

I am using ubuntu 11.04 ... LibreOffice 3.3.2
LibreOffice language=French
My document is in ODP format
My language is Arabic

the screenshot of the problem :

A shot in the dark, it might be a font problem.

I am guessing, but a friend of mine writes Arabic fonts for Middle East Banks & Finance Houses and not all of them the use "arabic numbers" (as strange as that may seem).

To check this out, run "charmap" on your font, if the font has arabic numbers (123…) that maybe the problem ???

Actually, I have revisited your example.

I thought originally your hand written "(1" and the "(2" were arabic characters and not (1 and (2,

I think what you are trying to say is that the ")" should be a "(" and on the other side of the number instead of 1) and 2). I completely understand.

In which case I have not a clue - sorry about that.

Best of luck in your endeavors

Hi
Since Writer does display it correctly could you copy&paste from Writer into
the slide? Does the problem still happen with pasted text with bullet-points?
Have you tried customised bullets&numbering?
Format - "Bullets and Numbering"
should give better options.

I can confirm the wrong behavior. You should write a bug report.

Kind regards

Please report a bug instead of me because i don't understand how bugzilla
works

Dear Nawfel

In your quest for enlightenment born usually from hours of frustration, you will always find bugs and with LO many many bugs.

Hence, I really hope that you persevere with bugzilla yourself.

Hi
Nicely done  Already someone is asking for more info there. Can you up-load
that page of your presentation? Just above the "Additional Comments" box is a
click-able link to "Add an attachment". Click that and on the new page click
the "Browse" button to make it easy to select your file. I tend to save my
document using a new name before cutting it down to the one page! Obvious
really, with hindsight.

Good luck and regards from

Do any of the LO Complex Language Number Setting have an affect (e.g.
Arabic, Hindi, System, Context). BTW, the numbers on the slide *are*
Arabic (0123456789), you probably want Hindi (٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩), aka
Arabic-Indic. "Context" may provide that, if it works like similarly
named the Windows OS setting.

Both Context and Hindi have (for my simple test case), the desired
result of displaying Hindi numerals (٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩), whereas System and
Arabic display Arabic numerals (0123456789). See
