Restoration problem between sessions

Thanks for the response.
I checked and this option is already checked by default. So, it doesn't look like that is the problem. Or are you suggesting I uncheck it and see if LO5 comes up automatically at the next session where now it doesn't come up at all?
I will try it, but I am not sure how that would affect the rest of my desktop. So, it may not be a long-term solution for me.

In Xfce, when you click on the logout button on the taskbar there is a checkbox "Save session for future logins"...

Would this be a way to solve your problem?
