Hello,
I have a problem with Open Office 4.1 (ubuntu 13.10)
For some time I have a strange phenomenon, almost all menu items are grayed
out (even when it is a new document).
So I uninstalled everything and reinstalled with the "Ubuntu Software
Center", but it is exactly the same
What happens there and what to do?

Oh this is a problem that Unity interface dirt. Grrrr!

Yes I've seen this but haven't yet figured out what's causing it. How
did you install?

Apparently a bug with Unity:

Says fix released but I did see this last week when I was testing 4.1
for something. I suggest posting on the bug and saying you're still
facing the problem. Since it's Unity only it's likely a Ubuntu bug -
even if it's not Bjoern monitors bugs over on LaunchPad as he's our
resident Canonical employee.
