Spellcheck/ Grammar highlighting

When I run Spell/Grammar check, LibreOffice nicely underlines the incorrect
items.

However, I find it very difficult to *see* the underlineings. Is there a way
to highlight the incorrect items with a background color?

That would be *so* much easier to see!

Try

Appearance

and go to "AutoSpellcheck"

The "automatic" color is a bright red, but you can change it to whatever you may need to suit your contrast to the background color.
