Hi Marc,
Could someone check Tool->LibreOffice->General
There seems to be a superimposed line/field in this window, in my copy of
LibreOffice RC1 FR
I cannot confirm this.
LibreOffice RC1 with DE lang pack.

My LibreOffice rc1 IT (Win32) is ok
Hi ,
I have an auto generated xls file, and I have a column in it, which is defined as text.
I have numbers in that column, with trailing spaces which look like ;
"1.2 "
"12.9 "
"3.4 "
When I right click to the column, choose "Format Cells" and "Number", it doesn't convert. I can't use the values in any formula. How can I convert them to numbers? Is there a "quick convert" feature?
Excel can use those values in formulas, even if I don't convert and with trailing spaces..
Thank you
Thanks Stefano and Sigrid:

Hi Arda
Could you start a new message (thread)? This one is hidden in another message because you changed the subject line.
When you want to ask a new messages you should create a new message and not just change the subject of another message.

yes, it was on my netbook with Mandriva 2010.1.
And I didn't see anything like in your screenshot.

Hi Marc,
Same as Sigrid for me, displayed window looking OK.
This is with LO RC1 with FR lang pack + Ubuntu 10.*10 environment.
Tell me if you need more.

Strange. Maybe it's because I updated to KDE 4.5.2. I reinstalled and still got the same results. Weird. Tried out my other 4 boxes in the house and still go the same results.
I reinstalled OOo 3.2 and the problem does not exist.

No problem here on Mac Intel with LibO 3.3.0 RC1 and NL language pack
I guess it could be left for now. It is most likely something that I have installed in common on all my 4 Mandriva boxes. Although, it is still strange that it doesn't seem to affect OOo3.3.2.
Anyway, I am just as happy to let it go unless more people are having the same problem.
Cheers
Marc
