"Preferences" would be more ideal but would that break the pathname?  You might be stuck with the slightly imperfect "Preference" which is still a lot better than the original.  Sorry, you all know a lot more about this than me.

On Mac I suppose. It is Tools - Options on Linux/Windows. I'm going to
use Preferences.
